Structural Energetic Therapy® is a form of advanced therapeutic massage designed to reduce or eliminate your pain and optimize your potential. SET utilizes unique cranial / structural work and myofascial soft tissue protocols. The goal is to help maximize your body’s inherent healing abilities by freeing up restrictions held in the body, helping to bring you in to a better state of strength, ease fullness, and balance.
A SET session begins with an evaluation that includes a written intake form, consultation and postural analysis. Treatments begin with cranial / structural techniques in order to initiate a release of the bodys' holding patterns within the body and nervous system. Through this balancing and unwinding tension throughout the cranial fascia, pain starts to lessen, and the body is ready for deeper work. Specialized soft tissue and myofasical release techniques are then applied to address clients’ pain and structural imbalances that are presenting. The goal of each session is to progress further in to achieving long term rehabilitation, optimized function, and wellness.
As your structure integrates into balance it becomes natural to start using your body more completely in normal day-to-day activities. At this point your body will naturally be strengthening and integrating the new structurally aligned posture. Intentional exercises to strengthen the intrinsic stabilizing muscles, as well as extrinsic muscles are incredibly helpful during this time.
Follow up sessions are scheduled based on the client’s needs and vary greatly depending on your condition.
In the early stages of treatment for advanced conditions, clients may even need to be seen as often as twice weekly in order to support the soft tissue unwinding in to structural balance and out of debilitating pain.
Once pain subsides, scheduling is recommended as maintenance, either monthly or on an as needed basis.
